Hello everyone!
Yesterday a package arrived, containing my sister's Yesstyle clothes and just one top that I had ordered last minute. I wasn't expecting it to arrive so fast since I had picked standard shipping, which takes around 6-15 days opposed to the express shipping of 3 days. At the time of placing an order, there was a promotion going on about free standard shipping to Canada and US with a minimum order of $70. Now I haven't ordered anything from Yesstyle in quite a while, so it was quite exciting to get the package in the morning, despite most of the clothes not being mine in the first place (weird thinking I know, but that feeling of getting a new package has rubbed off on me). I really wanted to do a review on the clothes for a while now, so I asked for permission from my sister and she agreed! She usually is picky when it comes to these things or just anything in general, so getting a simple "yes" was a miracle.
Before starting the review, to quote my sister: "all credit goes to me". (humouring her). xD

Fireworks and eBay False Eyelash Haul
Hello everyone!
Last Sunday night there were some fireworks going on outside of my house. I didn't really know what the occasion was for last week, but they were really pretty and sparkly. They were a bit far from my house, but not too far where I can't see them. Here are some of the pictures that I managed to get:
This is the box that the upper lashes came in as. When I first pulled it out of its package, the box was already a bit squished. While I was waiting for the lashes in the mail, I was expecting the box to be the standard blue and white design, but I was pleasantly surprised at the design.
The two eyelash glue. When I had ordered just one of the glue, the product came in as two pieces. I did hear that Eye Charm glue isn't actually eyelash glue, but rather it is a special glue used to create double eyelids. I bought it anyway, since I'm pretty sure that it will work for eyelashes as well (they advertised it like that anyway >.>).

I apologize if the quality seems a bit blurry, since these photos were taken from a distance.
Anyway, onto the haul. A few days ago (two days ago to be precise), the false eyelashes that I had ordered from eBay had came in :). I had ordered ten pairs of both upper and lower eyelashes along with two eyelash glue. The first package that came in contained the upper lashes and it came in a thick brown paper-like package. There was also another package that came in that contained the eyelash glue, since I bought both from the same seller.
Both sets of eyelashes and the two eyelash glue cost around $2 each, which is pretty much a good price for a pack of eyelashes, including the glue. They are definitely cheaper than the single pairs found in local stores like Shoppers Drug Mart and Walmart, which cost around $4 or even $7! Now I have seen those special bulk sales on eBay where you can buy essentially six packs of ten pairs of different styles of eyelashes for under $10, glue included and I didn't want to get those because I've noticed how dramatic some of the lashes can be. Those lashes are a bit too dramatic for my tastes ^^; (was looking for simple natural ones when starting out).

Here are the lashes themselves. Even though the box got squished in transit, the lashes surprisingly made it here intact. As you can see, no broken or fallen lashes found anywhere in the box, but that might be from the support base that the lashes are glued on.
A closeup of the lashes. Apparently these lashes are style 059. ^^;

Little note from seller
The next package that came in was the ten pairs of lower lashes. The lashes came in this flimsy thin white bag-like package. I got these from a different seller. What I found funny or ironic about the package was that it had a "fragile" sign on it, but the package isn't exactly made for fragile products. It was flimsy and thin after all.
The "fragile" sign on the package
Here is the box that the lower lashes came in as. Unlike the other box of lashes, this one didn't get squished at all, which is really surprising.
Here are the lashes themselves. For those who are interested in the style, they are style 030.
A closeup of the lashes. I'm glad that all of them made it through transit! ^^
...well almost all of them... -.-
A note from the seller
And that is my eyelash haul! ^^ Oh yeah, due to the recent huge beauty and cosmetic hauls that I had been doing lately and them accumulating in a huge pile in the corner, I need to figure out a way on storing these. I don't actually have a vanity so it will be a bit difficult, but I'm sure I'll be able to think of something. Until then, take care everyone! Thursday, 25 August 2011
Four Lovely Blog Awards
Hello everyone!
Miss Lita of her lovely blog (which can be found here) was kind enough to give me not just one but four lovely blog awards. The first one that she gave me was this one:
Miss Lita of her lovely blog (which can be found here) was kind enough to give me not just one but four lovely blog awards. The first one that she gave me was this one:
Award link: Here.
Here are the other ones that she gave me later on:
Award link: Here.
Since the rules are almost the same for each of them, I decided to include all the awards in one post and post it as just that, one post.
Rules:
- Link back to the person who gave you the award.
- Complete the form below.
- Tell seven random things about yourself.
- Nominate fifteen bloggers.
---------------------------------
Questions Form:
1. Name your favourite colour.
Purple (and pink, if applicable).
2. Name your favourite song.
As of now, I Hate You by 2NE1.
3. Name your favourite dessert.
Cake of course.
4. What pisses you off?
Certain know-it-alls. People who swear every two sentences (hate hearing swear words in general, especially the "f word"). Cheaters. Fakes. :/
5. When your upset you...
I'll probably go on a little rampage and then go to my room and try to cool down (this usually involves a little silent treatment). Will definitely forget about it within a few days.
6. Your favourite pet?
Rabbits. They are just so fluffy and cute. :3 Though fish are a close second.
7. Black or white?
Both, since I can't decide. Need both to have a healthy balance anyway.
8. Your biggest fear?
Horror movies.
9. Your best feature?
Hair.
10. Everyday attitude?
Nice and content.
11. What is perfection?
Being perfect? O-o
12. Guilty pleasure?
As of now, listening to this song (no thanks to my sister, who got me hooked onto it -_-). Surprisingly enough, it's catchy.
---------------------------------
Seven random things about myself:
1. I get guilt tripped easily. In fact, too easily. This also usually happens every time I turn someone's offer down.
2. I love dinosaurs. Mention a theme park, museum, or even a zoo and I'm there (well not literally, but you get the point). Yes I am serious about the zoo, even though they are not alive... On second thought, maybe it's best that they are just animatronics...
3. I love playing video games in general, but my most favourite are role playing games. So addicting...
4. I have an obsession with mirrors. Full length mirrors, hand mirrors, desk mirrors, decorative mirrors. You name it, I probably got it. xD Don't know why or how this obsession got developed, but you got to admit that they are pretty...
5. I have a tendency to continuously buy craft supplies, even when I don't need it right now or might not need it in the future. It might also be why I tend to favour bulk orders... Anyway, I tend to call this an "emergency preparation". :) I mean you may never know right?
6. Whenever I get brand new stuff in the mail or from the local mall, I tend to keep them in their original packaging for a few days. I mainly do this for blogging purposes, but other reasons is just plain habit. I try to keep them as brand new as possible for some odd reason. ._.;
7. I love movies, especially those of the action/adventure genre such as any superhero movies.
---------------------------------
Now for the fifteen fabulous bloggers:
- Sasha of Bears and Bows
- Tiffany of The Princess in Training

A Three in One Haul Post - Guess, Ecotools, and Claires Oh My!
Hello everyone!
As you can tell by the title, this is going to be one very long or at least very extensive haul post. Now I know that I said in the last haul post that I will be working more on deco/craft projects and less on hauls themselves, but I had just finished my full length mirror and haven't really started on anything else as of today. Speaking of hauls, I have to put all the stuff that I had bought away so it doesn't result in any clutter (which is already happening in my room D:). Anyway, the order that the hauls go in actually correspond with the title, which is pretty neat huh?

Deco Post - Full Length Mirror
Hello everyone!
For a while now I had been working on a project that unexpectedly took me a while to finish. Fortunately I am now finished with the project and it's now ready to be presented. :) The funny thing is, the reason that this project took me several days to finish is because of the lack of creativity and inspiration (say what now?). Yes, even after browsing through tons of hime decorating videos on youtube, such as this or even this.
Anyway, enough about my blabbering. Onward with the pictures, starting with the before picture!

A Beauty Haul
Hello everyone!
Today I went shopping (again)! xD I know I know! You must think that I'm crazy, but I can't help myself! It can get so addictingsometimes all the time. I don't know how Violet does it browsing through all that stuff without buying anything, but what I do know is that she has a lot of self control (Which I think I need to work on. Time to go back to my "hermit" shell...). On a serious note, I actually went to the mall to pick up some items that I will definitely need in the future if I ever wanted to improve and perfect the himegyaru look. I mean I'm pretty sure that I don't want to go on relying on the "Bump-its" stage forever...
Before I show you the haul however, I have some good news to share. Remember a few posts back that I had been going on and on about hating the blurred macro focus quality pictures for a while now and how I wanted to buy a new camera so badly? Well it turns out that my dad has a Canon Powershot A1100 IS, which long story short is definitely better than my current camera, having 12.1 megapixels instead of 6. :) So now I don't have to worry about the picture quality anymore, though feel free to let me know about the quality.

Stylize Velcro Rollers
Location: Shoppers Drug Mart
Price: $16.99 CDN
Thoughts: Yup! I got rollers! I didn't actually have rollers before so I got them. When I went to Shoppers Drug Mart (actually it's at every drug store), they have individual packs in just only one size at around $4-5. Now I wanted just the big ones, but they only have 4 rollers in a pack, which I'm pretty sure that in order to get the hairstyle right, I might need more than that. So I got this bulky set instead. Sure it might seem expensive at first ($16.99), but it's worth it when you consider that there are 31 pieces in here. That's a lot of pieces. I can't wait to give them a try. ^^
Aussie Aussome Volume Hair Spray
Location: Shoppers Drug Mart
Price: $3.29 CDN, was originally around $5.00 CDN
Thoughts: While I was in the hair aisle deciding on which hair spray to get, I happen to find the Aussie sprays on sale at the time and decided to get the Aussome Volume one. Along with the rollers, I didn't buy both the rollers and the hairspray immediately at the time, since I wanted to compared the prices of similar items found at Walmart. Unfortunately, Walmart doesn't have the huge pack of velcro rollers (they however do have those foam rollers) and the Aussie spray was a little more expensive than the one at Shoppers. What I found interesting was that while I was at Walmart, they have these Fructis Style Crystal Resist Volume Hairsprays (at least that's what I think it was called) on sale for a limited time. I think it might be a new hairspray, since I couldn't find anything like it at the shelves and I couldn't find any reviews for it either. What do you think?
That's all for now. For the next posts, I will be focusing more on craft projects and less on hauls, since I'm pretty sure that you are all tired from it by now. I'm pretty much all set when it comes to hair stuff, so here's to practicing on doing the hime puff hairstyle. ^_^

A New Eyelash Curler and Deco Post - Bag Hanger Part 2
Hello everyone!
Two days earlier I went to my local Sears and got a Shiseido Eyelash Curler because at the time I was looking for one. I didn't really feel like going through numerous drug store brands and trying to find out which ones are good, so I did the next best thing and went for the "best" one (at least according to the reviews that I had found). At first, I was actually thinking of getting the Jill Stuart eyelash curler for its design, but I don't want to fork up additional shipping fees and possibly risk getting a fake one -.-. So Shiseido it is!
When I first saw the packaging, I was expecting it to be a silver colour instead of gunmetal, which did threw me off for a little bit ^^;. The gunmetal colour is rather pretty and it could be just me, but I don't see the colour often on the other eyelash curlers that I had come across. Just like all eyelash curlers, it comes with a replacement pad and can be sold separately, making it very convenient and less wasteful (don't have to throw away the curler after done using it). It was one of my "motivations" to get the Shiseido eyelash curler. A little pricy at $20, but I heard that the money pays off so I can't wait to try this.
Now, today's deco project is going to be part 2 of this, only more fancier :).
Wiped the surface of any dust or fingerprints.
I filled in the top space with clear and small purple rhinestones. I limit the small purple rhinestones to the edge.
I repeat it for the other side.
Lined slightly bigger purple rhinestones along the edge of the circle and I'm finished. Now I got a cute bag hanger for decoration and for functionality :D! Goodbye floor and hello table!

I added a bow in the center of the circle. This took me a little while to do, since the first few times had the bow a little crooked xD. Also, instead of using Gemtac for the bow, I used glue gun instead because the other glue didn't keep the bow on AT ALL :(.

Deco Post - Bag Hanger Part 1
Hello everyone!
So today I decided to decorate one of the bag hangers that I had bought earlier, since it was originally suppose to be a present for my mom on her birthday (which had already passed ;_;). I did have a project that's in the works earlier, so I decided to put off that project in favour of this one, knowing that the deadline had already passed. I mean, later is better than never right?
Regarding the title, I meant to do a post on both of the bag hangers, not just one. So it's not actually going to be splitting this post into two parts but rather two different bag hangers. I apologize if I confused anybody with that. ^^;
Materials used:
- bag hanger
- scrap paper
- rhinestones
- glue (Gemtac)
- tweezers
- toothpick
I decided to start off with filling the outer part of the bag hanger with a black and white pattern.

I apologize in advance for any blurry pictures. I really should get a new camera. ><
First I wiped the bag hanger of any dust or finger prints.
I decided to start off with filling the outer part of the bag hanger with a black and white pattern.
Doing the same thing as I make my way into the circle...
And finished! :D That was quick, but then considering that the bag hanger doesn't have that much space to work with in the first place that is to be expected. I decided to use only black and white rhinestones since I am pretty sure my mom wouldn't take kindly to "over the top bling". xD None-the-less, it is still nice. Though what I wished I had while working on this project was smaller clear or black rhinestones, since I cannot fill in any gaps caused by the bigger rhinestones. :/ It doesn't look too bad from far away however.

Fullmoon Haul and a Little Bit of a Review
Hello everyone!
Today my Fullmoon package had arrived! The package got delivered on July 22, making it a total of 8 business days (if you count the day it got sent), which is not bad for a package coming from the far eastern region. My Hong Kong eBay purchases usually last longer (around the full 2 business weeks) so it definitely is fast shipping. My total when I had made the order came out to be $35.50 USD ($21.50 USD merchandise total + $14.00 USD shipping), but there was an error with the package weight on the website and I ended up paying $5.00 more than expected, so Yuki gave me 5 store points for me to use on my next purchase. ^^ That is very good customer service.
