Bag Modification, Cute Stationary, Outfit Pictures, and a Juicy Couture Surprise

Hello everyone!

After what seems to be a month full of blood and sweat and tears, I am finally finished with modifying the bag that I had gotten a while back. Now if you had been around back when I had first started the blog, you would've noticed that I had gotten a large black "The Bay" bag from my mom that looks like this:

When I had first gotten it, I found it to be a bit on the boring and plain side so I eventually decided to "deco" it to make it more of a princess style. After using up a numerous amount of black lace, black fabric, and thread to create the gigantic black bows, here is the end result:

What do you think? Although I felt that more lace and bows should've been added onto the top part, overall I had been pretty satisfied with the results. I will definitely do something about the Bay "bag charm", though what I'm going to do with said charm is still up to discussion. As briefly mentioned above, I had hand sewn each of the bows along with the ruffles in-between the lace. This was my first time actually making ruffles and to put it into simple words, I like it.

Back in early June, I had gone to the mall with a couple of my family members. (mainly my mom, aunt, sister, cousin, and grandma) After looking around in the Bay, I eventually went into the Dollar Store and I was looking around until I saw these adorable stationary:

Aren't they gorgeous? I wasn't expecting to find such "princessy" stuff inside the store and I had already been there a lot of times. At first, I had wanted to only get just one, but it would be a crime to not just get both of them. On a honest note, I don't use stationary. I'm pretty sure that I can find a use for them eventually! :)

On the same day that I had gone to the Dollar Store, I had managed to take some photos of my outfit. I went all nude that day!  This was also the first time that I had gotten the chance to wear my new dress.

Dress: H&M
Cardigan: Gift
Accessories: Ring, necklace, and earrings (Claires), headband and bracelet (Ardene)
Shoes: Payless Shoe Source
Bag (not shown): Coach

Lately I had noticed that I had been really into Juicy Couture. I hadn't always been into Juicy Couture at first, since I wasn't as big into brands back in my high school days compared to now. What I really loved about the brand is how girly some of their collection can get. I did not get to own many pieces from the brand unfortunately, due mainly to both price point and inaccessibility. That does not stop me from admiring the brand though.

I had been meaning to get a new watch for a while now, preferably a nicer looking one to match with the frillier side of life. I already have a Timex watch that I use constantly (it is waterproof and lasted quite a long time), but it really does not leave room for fanciness since...well...it is not exactly designed with fashion purposes in mind. I had bought one of those 3 for $10 Hello Kitty watch sets earlier back in 2011 to compensate for the lack of watches, only to have the straps break on me within a couple of months (I will be doing a tutorial series on making new watch straps soon, so keep an eye out for that).

Eventually if you can tell where this is heading, I had finally gotten a Juicy Couture watch from The Bay, which I was super excited about! As a whole, Juicy Couture is not exactly cheap and their watches are definitely not an exception. Heck, one of them even goes for a regular price of $250! At the time, they did have one of those "one day only" sales for watches some time during that week, which is a 30% off discount. This is actually a very large discount when it comes to watches, considering that watches don't go on sale often. Thanks to the discount, I had managed to get the watch that I had been particularly eying down from $225 to $157.50. What I usually love about The Bay sales is that they would also allow you to stack another 15%-20% on top of the current discount if you sign up for their HBC MasterCard. Unfortunately that doesn't extend to one-day-only sales so I couldn't stack the additional 15%-20%. Fortunately with the help from a friend that works at the place, I got the watch for only $148.84, including taxes.

I particularly love the white and gold combination on the watch. I also love the little "gems" that are inside the watch face and I felt that it enhances the "dressy" look.

That's about it for now. Until then, take care!

  1. Your bag looks awesome!! I'm a fan of the more "dark princess" look, but it doesn't suit me T_T
You did a great job, and your outfit looks fantastic :)

    1. Thank you! :) If you really love the "dark princess" look, you should give it a try at making some beautiful dark-looking princess creations! I would be very interested to see what you come up with! Once again, thank you for the compliment! <3

  2. My goodness, that purse is GORGEOUS! If you had said this was another JD bag you found on an auction, I would have believed you! The effort you put into that really shows.

If you're looking for a reason to use that stationary, I have always wanted a pen pal XD

I really like your coorde! It's very elegant and mature ^^ You have really great style!

Love that watch! It looks like it can go with almost anything!

I really love seeing all this progress you're making 8D When do you think you'll make the venture out into Hime makeup and hair?

    1. Aww thank you! It also took me a while due to my indecisiveness when it came to the design. I mean, there was just so much potential to what I could do to that bag!

xD That offer sounds tempting (and gives me an excuse to use the stationary!)

Thank you! I came to love that dress since I first saw it and (although it was not love at first sight) I'm glad that I got it now!

Actually to be honest, I haven't gotten into makeup until recently so as of right now, I am just exploring my makeup style and basically "trying not to mess up" so to speak! I had worn eyeliner, eyeshadow, and mascara in the past couple of outfit pictures, but haven't gone all the way yet with the false eyelashes and everything else. I am considering it however!

As for the hair, well.... not a lot of progress going on there! Still a work in progress at this point!

    2. Hehe, let me know if you decide on it. I give nice gifts XD

I hope you do get into it. It's not nearly as daunting as it first seems. You'll get the hang of it ^_^

Myself, I've decided to go the JD/La Pafait route and use hair pieces. When I come back to blogging later this month, I even have an easy tutorial to get that huge Hime bouffant using 4 pieces that I'll be posting. I just got frustrated with my teased poofs going flat an hour later and still not being big enough anyway, lol.

  4. Oh my gosh that BAG ;o; Your outfit it really cute too! I wish I could pull off the elegant and mature look, but I feel I look better in La Parfait vomit Himegyaru xD Ahh I love Juicy too! Especially their bags >u<;; there's a Juicy Couture store in downtown Atlanta that I love to visit, they even have children's clothes! One thing that surprised me was that they also had school supplies. Can you imagine? Brand name school supplies O-O; Anyway, your progress is amazing! I also second Aimiya's question!

    1. Thank you! I'm pretty sure that you can pull off any style if you put your mind to it! Sounds cheesy, but it doesn't hurt to say it! xD I really love the Juicy bags as well, especially their bag charms! <3

I can believe that there are brand stationary out there! I mean if there is such thing as a $50 Coach planner, I'm pretty sure that there are bound to be a lot of other brand stuff out there as well!

Once again, thank you for the comment! As for the question, I'm just going to copy and paste the response that I had just finished typing above:
